Sports

I love to watch and play sports. When I was two I could toss a ball and hit it with a bat. When I was six I started watching sports. My dad and I watched the World Series which was my first experience watching sports which I remember. When I was seven I started playing on a soccer team. Also when I was seven I started swimming on the swim team. When I was nine I started playing on a basketball team. I was also nine when I started playing on a tennis team. When I was 12 I started playing on a second basketball team.

My original basketball team went undefeated the first season. The next season we only lost once and had a tie but lost to a team that we had beat twice in the regular season. The next year we lost three times but again lost to a team we had beaten twice in the regular season. The year after that we only won one game and lost in the semifinals to the only team we beat.

My other basketball team lost two games in the regular season but ended winning the championship. We won 3 or 4 games in the regualr by 5 points or less which gave us a lot of experience in the playoffs. The first game of the regular season we were down by 14 points but after pressing most of the second half came back to win the game by one point. But by far the most intense game was the semifinals in the playoffs. With a 35 seconds to go and the score tied I made one of two free throws to give my team a one point lead. Then the other team scored after having the ball for about 20 seconds. My teammate then took a jumper just within the three point and made it. The other coach called a time out. 10 seconds left and we were winning by one. They passed it to our best player who drove to the basket. He took a shot and missed but was fouled. Two shots. He took the first shot. He missed but my teammate who made the jumper steped over the line. So he got an extra shot. He missed the second. We were all so anxious, he missed the third free throw. Our center rebounded the ball and we won. The championship game was not nearly so interesting. After getting a 20 point lead my coach started taking the starters out. The other team got our lead down to four but simply ran out of time. We ended up winning by four.
